Out of Africa is an American romantic drama movie, based on the autobiography book, Out of Africa, written by Isak Dinesen, which was published in 1937.

It was filmed in 1985. it was directed and prodeced by the American film director, Sydney Pollack and starring Robert Redford, Meryl Streep and Klaus Maria Brandauer;  Streep played Karen Blixen; Redford played Denys Finch Hatton; and Klaus Maria Brandauer played Baron Bror Blixen.

general plot:

In the early twentieth century, Karen Blixen (Meryl Streep) decides to marry her distant cousin Baron Bror Blixen-the Finecke (Klaus Maria Brandauer) and move to Kenya to run a coffee plantation. This marriage of convenience soon falls apart due to her husband's womanizing character. Although she meets a professional hunter Denys Finch Hatton (Robert Redford), adventurous and liberal. But in the end, he dies in his plane. A fire destroyed the coffee harvest and Karen is ruined, having to return to Europe, and although at that time already separated, Denys offers to help.

Isak Dinesen wa born in the 17th of April of 1885, in Rungstedlung, and she died on the 7th of September of 1962. She was a Danish author who wrote works in Danish, French and English.
Karen spent some of her early years at her mother's family.
After studyng art, she married her cousin and went to Africa about a coffee plantation. In 1931, economic problems with the coffee price, forced him to return to Africa.
Afterwards she started her second adventure. In as much as the danish editors refused her book ( seven gothic tales) she decided to send it to United States. In 1934 they accept it and this is how began Isak Dinesen whose book: Out of Africa.

Isak Dinesen (born as Karen Christentze Dinesen) was born in the 17th of April of 1885, in Rungstedlung, and she died on the 7th of September of 1962.

 She was a Danish  author. She wrote works in Danish, French and English.

Her father committed suicide when she was ten. Her mother stood alone with five dependent children.


 

Karen married her cousin Baron  Bror Blixen-Finecke, who started in Kenya a coffee plantation. Although they separated after six years of marriage.




 

 

 In africa, she learned Aboriginal languages and she met Denys Finch Hatton, with which began a loving relationship.
 

In 1931, Denys Finch Hatton was killed in his plane. Later she had to return to Denmark.

Dinesen is best known for Out of Africa, which account her living in Kenya; and for one of her stories, Babette's Feast.

Prior to the release of the first film, she was noted for her Seven Gothic Tales, for which she is also known in Denamark.

Isak Dinesen was born in April, 17 of 1885 in Denmark.

She was de second of five childrens in the marriage of Wilhelm Dinesen and Ingebog Westenholt. She married with Bror Blixen and she come to lived in Kenya with her husband. She started to cultivate coffe here and finally its been destroyed with the fire. She was in love with Denys but he always was traveling around the world.






 He died in a accident with his airplane and then Karen decided to come back to her house in Denmark. She died with the age of 77 in 1962 ; she died in her house.

Karen Blixen was deciding to marry with her second cousin the Baron Brir Blixen-Finecke and went to live to a Britan Colon of Africa (Kenia) to direct the harvest of coffe.

This marriage become a bad convivence because he wasn´t expresing his love to his wife. In her travel she met a proffesional hunter , Denys Finch Hatton , and they started to feel the love between . Denys was a boy that loves travel around the world and Karen doesn´t like it because she wants to stay with Denys. 

The fire destroys the harvest of coffe and Karen is ruined so she was having to come back to Europe. In this moment Denys decided to help Karen althought they are separate. After this happened, Deny died in a accident with his airplane and karen come to Denmark again.

Isak Dinesen or Karen Blixen was born on 17^th of April 1885 in Rungstedlund.

Since she was very young she was interested in art and writing.

In 1912 she decided to marry her second cousin baron Bror Blixen-Finecke, but she married him on 14^th January 1914 in Mombasa and they lived together in Nairobi.

A few years later her husband infected her with syphilis and she went to Denmark to have a treatlement and she wrote a poem called Ex Africa.

In 1916 she returned to Africa to work in the coffee plantation and she met Denis Finch Hatton.

In 1925 she left her husband and she returned to Europe but she went finally to Africa in 1926.

In 1931 Denis Finch Hatton died in a plane accident and after that she left Africa forever because her farmland burned.

Karen lived after that with her mother in Denmark and she wrote and publicated a lot of books.

In 1962 she died in her house.

It is accepted in 1934 and born the name of Isak Dinesen.

Karen Dinesen died in 1962 with 77 years old.

Out Of Africa is a American romantic drama film directed and produced by Sydney Pollack. The film is based on the autobiographical book Out Of Africa written by Isak Dinesen.

Robert Redford acted as Denys Finch ; Meryl Streep as Karen Blixen ; Klaus Maria Brandaver as Baron Bror Blixen ; Suzanna Hamilton as Felicity...

The film was distributed by Universal pictures in the 1985. The story begins with this " I had a farm in Africa, at the foot of the Ngong Hills" . Karen tells her story.

The story begins in 1913 in Denmark , when Karen Dinesen married whit her friend Baror Bror Blixen. Then , they moved to Africa to open a old farm. She also meets Denys Hatton a local big-game hunter . She loved him.

Kare contracts Syphilis from her husband and is forced to return to Denmark for a long and difficult period. In the meantime Bror was looking after the plantation in her absence. After she has recovered and returns to Africa. After she decides to open a school to teach reading, writing and also some European customs to the African children of the area.  However, her coffee  plantation  runs into financial difficulties.

At the end a devastating fire destroyed all of the factory. And also Denys died because his plane has crashed. And Karen returned to Denmark. She later became an author.

Karen Christence Dinesen was a Danish author also known by her pen name Isak Dinesen. She wrote in Danish, French and English. Her father, Whihelm Dinesen, military, parliamentary, committed suicide when she was ten, he could not stand the pressure of syphilis. Her mother kept her 5 children through family support. Karen, like her sisters, was educated in schools. Karen married her cousin, Baron Bror Blixen-Finecke, who started in Kenya a coffee plantation called The Karen Coffee Company. Her husband cheated on her, so she divorced him. She met a British hunter who lives in Kenya, Blixen Denys Finch Hatton. They began a relationship, but he did not want to be compromised or marry instead, but she did. Denys Finch Hatton was killed in his plane. Karen kept planting until coffee prices fell in 1931, so she was forced to sell her plantation and for that reason she had to return to Denmark.

Karen Christentz Dinesen (also known as Isak Dinesen) was born on the 17th April 1885 in Danmark. She had five brothers (she was the second one)
She dindn´t go to school, so she had a governess. In 1902 she started her artistic career in Copenhaguen.
In 1907, she began writing books.
She married Bror Blixen, her second cousin , becoming a baronesse. They moved to an estate in MBagathi (Africa), bought by Isak's family but he doesn't colaborated very much.
Isak replaced him in the administration. Finally the married couple broke up.

She fell in love with the British soldier Deny Finch Hatton, who died in a flight.
Karen came back to Danmark where she wrote the book 'Seven Gothic Tales' which had a lot of success in the United States of America in 1933.
She wrote many other books known all over the world. She won a Nobel Award.
in 1962 she died in her Danish house and she had been burried in the Ewald Hill.
