The 60s were the years of the changes in the society, the music, the way of life, the way of dressing...

WAY OF DRESSING

People changed. Young people didn’t want to be like their parents. The teens started to dress different clothes. They were invented a lot of companies of teens’ clothes. Mary Quant stands out like a designer of the mini skirt. The invention of mini skirt shocked some people but it also liked a lot of women.

REVOLUTIONS

The people changed they wanted to manifest their ideas and every think that they think.

One of the most important revolutions was the Vietnam War. People didn’t like the war so they protested. Another important fact was the Afro-American persecution.

Martin Luther king was a man who defended the rights of the Afro-American population.

MUSIC

Bob Dylan stands out. The singers become to write different songs. This songs were more liberal.

The Beatles were an example of liberal group that changed the world.

Across the universe is a musical based on the 60s and on the music of The Beatles
. It wasmade in 2007 in United States. The film talks about a British boy who travels to America to find his father. He meets there a group of persons with whom experiments a revolutionary movement against the Vietnam war.
the main characters are Jim Sturgess, evan rachel wood, joe anderson, dana fuchs and martin luther mcCoy.somo of them make reference to the figures of that time, like Sadie (Dana Fuchs) or Jojo ( Martin Luther McCoy).

guns n' roses is an american hard rock/heavy metal band formed in L.A. in 1985. It was formed by the singer axl rose and the guitar player tracii guns. Later, tracii leaved the band and slash, izzy stradlin, duff mckagan and steven adler joined the band.
quickly the band became very famous. In 1987 they released their debut album, Appetite for destruction, which eached n° 1 on the billboard 200, and one of its singles, Sweet Child o mine, eached n° 1 on the billboard hot 100.
that success was followed by the album G N' R Lies, which reached n° 1 on the billboard 200. The twin albums use your illusion l and Use Your illusion ll debuted at n° 2 and n° 1 on the billboard 200, etc.





Moreover, the band also got famous for being one of the most rebelious bands of that time.
well the band, increasingly, had more success. But from the 90s, the band began to desintegrate: first, steven adler had to leave the band because of his struggle against the drugs, he was repleaced by matt sorum; later, the relationship between axl and the other members became increasingly tense so, izzy, slash and duff left the group.

Ever after, the band returned to have the success that it had in those days. Now a days, the only original member that lefts in the band is axl rose.

The 60's, a decade full of changes and importants events in the world, started with the service of John. F Kennedy as the 35th President of the United States untill his assasination in 1963.

Apart from this, there were changes evident in fashion, music, toys, cars and also displayed in conflicts and new reactions to them. The Berlin wall  construction, imprison Nelson Mandela, introduction of the woman in the working world, the Vietnam war, the defend of civil right by Martin Luther King, anti-war movement, the sent off by the Soviets of Valentina Tereshkova as the first woman to the space and, obviously don´t forget Bob Dylan, a rock singer whose career began in the early 60's with songs about social issues like war and civil rights and the creation of the Beatles.

 The Beatles, the best band ever in the world whose songs never died and are still listened by millions of people every day, simply because those guys stole our minds with their beautiful lyrics in which they tried to pass to the audience and listenners some kind of messages.
We, the world's people need such us the Beatles songs in which we find messages such as make peace in world, live happily without racism. And that's what British culture tried to do from ages, so that's why I conseder it a precious diamond. 

Finally, as John Lennon said: "If someone thinks that peace and love are just a phrase that have been left in the 60's, that's a problem.                                        THE SIXTIES



- The nineteen sixties began with the election of the first president John Kennedy. For many Americans, the young president represented a spirit of hope for the nation. When Kennedy was murdered in 1963, many people felt that their hopes died, too. This was especially true of young people, and members and supporters of minority groups.


This assasination and the reverend of Martin Luther King, in 1968, illustrated the turbulent and restless society. The sixties decade was a decade of change with a lot of conflicts and reactions to them and change social order. Historians describe this decade as the which resulted in the most significant transformations in recent history.

In this decade they ocurred many significant wars which are very important in the history, like the antiwar movement of USA, the war of Vietnam and increase the political tensions. The first step on the moon and the war of vietnam mark definitely the era.

ACROSS THE UNIVERSE

Across the Universe is a 2007 musical based on the '60s in the USA and in the music of the British band The Beatles. The film revolves around Jude, who travels to the United States to find his father .. Here, Jude falls in love with Lucy, an American girl who joins the anti-Vietnam War movement.


This film shows the situation in which the world was then.

In the sixties, many historical eventes maked stir up the world. Between these historical events are the second world war, the Cuban missile crisis and the Vietnam war. The death of John F.kennedy and Martin Luther King made many students of Africa and America manifest.

Also, the sixties are, without doubt, the decade where the music was very envolved. Bob Dylan, The beatles and the roling stones were a example of it. It was also a decade of a big renovation in the mode. the society, especially the students,  were wearing the same clothes like their best favorite singer of rock and the girls were having new styles like the miniskirts and bell jeans.

In Spain,  the sixties was a time of culture flowering. The tourism was expanded, bringing more musical styles of Europe and the world.  the best groups of music were Dúo Dinámico, Los Bravos y Los Brincos.
