Out Of Africa is a American romantic drama film directed and produced by Sydney Pollack. The film is based on the autobiographical book Out Of Africa written by Isak Dinesen.

The film was distributed by Universal pictures in the 1985. The story begins with this " I had a farm in Africa, at the foot of the Ngong Hills" . Karen tells her story.
The story begins in 1913 in Denmark , when Karen Dinesen married whit her friend Baror Bror Blixen. Then , they moved to Africa to open a old farm. She also meets Denys Hatton a local big-game hunter . She loved him.
Kare contracts Syphilis from her husband and is forced to return to Denmark for a long and difficult period. In the meantime Bror was looking after the plantation in her absence. After she has recovered and returns to Africa. After she decides to open a school to teach reading, writing and also some European customs to the African children of the area. However, her coffee plantation runs into financial difficulties.
At the end a devastating fire destroyed all of the factory. And also Denys died because his plane has crashed. And Karen returned to Denmark. She later became an author.
